Arrested for Converting to Christianity

A mother and son, identified as Anousheh Reza-Bakhsh (Veronika) and Soheil Zagarzadeh Sani (Augustine), were both taken from their home in Northwestern Iran and taken to an unknown location. Their Christian literature was confiscated. The only reason for their arrest is the fact that they both converted to Christianity.  Despite President Rouhani’s pledge to ease the internal human rights situation in Iran, reports indicate that there is increased suppression of religious and ethnic minorities.
