More female athletes “GIRLCOTT” games in Tehran over forced hijab

Many female athletes and even chess players are boycotting international tournaments being held in Tehran for one simple reason: they do not accept to don hijabs which are compulsory for women in Iran. Of course, there are many who believe that if it’s the law in Iran, all women should abide to it but athletes such as gold medal shooter Heena Sidhu from India claim that forcing her to wear a hijab is simply “against the spirit of the game”.
