Nazanin Ratcliffe’s trial is a legal farce

Nazanin Ratcliffe is a British Iranian woman who was arrested in Iran while visiting her family there with her two year old daughter. She was charged with plotting the “soft” overthrow of the regime (whatever that means) and is being tried by Iran’s ruthless “hanging judge” Salavati. Sources in Iran state that her trial is proceeding behind closed doors and that Nazanin met her lawyer only a few days prior to the trial. The prison authorities have also blocked any communication Nazanin had with her family in Iran (including her daughter) and her husband in the UK. If convicted, Nazanin could face execution although most insiders believe that she will be used as a pawn for a prisoner swap and to obtain “ransom” money. Please sign this petition to free her:
